Sacramento, CA – October 12, 2007 – The annual conference
of Credential Counselors and Analysts of California (CCAC) saw a bright new star on the horizon
this year with Helios Tech presenting a refreshing and innovative solution to credentialing
and compliance reporting. The four-day conference – one of the largest gatherings
of K-12 administrators in California – had nearly 1,000 registered participants
from school districts, charter schools, county offices, Commission on Teacher Credentialing
(CTC) and Department of Education (CDE).
Mary Lespier, one of the organizers of CCAC, welcomed Helios Tech, “It is great
to have innovative solution providers like Helios Tech be present at our conference.”
The conference packed vital information for credential analysts with presentations
by CTC and CDE experts including Terri Fesperman on the much dreaded and misunderstood
subject of teacher assignment monitoring and English Learner authorizations. No
Child Left Behind (NCLB) experts from the CDE, Lynda Nichols and Kimberly Eaton,
drew great appreciation from the participants with their presentation on the new
NCLB teacher requirement guidelines.
Some of the CTC officials present had an opportunity to see the Helios demo and
were interested to see the assignment monitoring module built into it. Even some
CDE officials were impressed by the way Helios does reporting for No Child Left
Behind, Williams law, Assignment Monitoring, Title I, and CBEDS.
Yash Sharma, school district technology developer and founder of Helios Tech, was
excited about their presence at the conference. “CCAC is one of the most prominent
gatherings of K-12 administrators and it’s an honor to be here to showcase how we
are helping administrators and credential analysts,” he said.
At least 60 school districts signed up and more saw Helios’ big screen presentation
on how compliance can be easy with integrated database and reports from Helios.
A credential analyst at San Jacinto Unified School District in Riverside county
and one of the participants noted, “I can already see how Helios can help me so
much.”
Earlier, Helios Tech had presented at workshops organized by the Los Angeles County
Office of Education on September 27 and 28.
