Schools and Universities Cheer Helios at CCAC 2008

run at the conference
of Credential Counselors and Analysts of California (CCAC) 2008, which
drew nearly 900 participants despite the budget cuts. Hundreds of participants
from schools, county offices, and universities attended Helios presentations in
which they saw live demos of how Helios can be directly useful in their credentialing
and compliance reporting work. With NCLB, CBEDS, Assignment Monitoring, and various
other data and reports, Helios helps HR and credentialing analysts immensely.
A representative from Claremont Graduate University was thrilled to discover Helios'
teacher evaluation module which allows evaluators to do student teacher evaluations
online in 2 minutes flat. The evaluation module provides evaluators with a wizard
with built-in options that they can click and choose to create their evaluations.
The evaluations are electronically recorded and summary reports can be generated
that offer a bird's eye view. This can then be used to plan professional development
or courses in areas where several teachers need improvement.
Another feature that many participants from schools loved was that Helios enabled
them to go paperless in managing their teacher and HR data. "It would be awesome
if I don't have to find a teacher's paper folder to look up their degree units,
instead just login to Helios and get the info right there!" exclaimed one viewer
from a school district.
